Hi,
This is Akanksha Mishra. I've recently graduated from film school in
Pune, India and currently work as a freelancer. Over the last few years
I've developed an interest in programming and have been playing around
with something or the other in this domain. I'm looking forward to make
the most out of this opportunity and hope to better my skills while I
contribute to this project. I have worked on some Django applications
now and then but on here, I hope to get hands on experience with
production level code.
Thank you :)
Hi Akanksha, thanks for introducing yourself! Welcome the Badges mailing
list.
For this week, we identified a few tasks for applicants to work on. Some
of these get you familiar with other tools we will use for the Badges
project, like fedora-messaging and OpenShift. You can find these tasks here:
https://github.com/fedora-infra/badgr-server/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aope...
They are open-ended tasks, so you do not need to be assigned to work on
them. Drop a comment in any of them to let us know you are working on
it, and follow any instructions in the issue to verify you completed the
task.
On Monday, we will have more code contribution opportunities with the
badgr-server Django app. These opportunities include sending code into
the upstream badgr-server project, already in use by several communities. :)
Let us know if you have any questions or doubts. We will see you around
in the Telegram/IRC chat!
