- add the boot argument 'askmethod', then choose the location when
anaconda prompts, like: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/TestCases/InstallSourceHardDrive 2. add the boot argument 'repo=hd:<device>:/<path>', like: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Anaconda/Options#repo 3. write the repo location into kickstart file, like: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Anaconda/Kickstart#install
These are all essentially the same, though they do take slightly different code paths. All are processed by the loader and are used to locate the main installation source. The source you provide via all of these methods will be validated (a simple check, really - just look for .treeinfo) before going into graphical anaconda.
- add the repo graphically (this method does not support using iso
file), like: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Testcase_Ftp_Repository
The URL linked is just using repo= as well (see #2 in How To Test). However, yes there is a graphical repo adding UI. That is more for adding additional repos - not the primary installation source. It's a subtle distinction, I know. The repo you add here will be validated in the same way, but lack of that file is not an error since it's not where the distribution comes from.
