#336: Distinguish machine architecture and test architecture -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Reporter: kparal | Owner: Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Future tasks Component: core | Keywords: -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Currently we have the --arch option that relates to the client machine architecture. But that doesn't have to correspond to the desired architecture of the executed test (it may run 32bit code on 64bit system, for example). It is discussed here: https://fedorahosted.org/pipermail/autoqa-devel/2011-May/002302.html
Distinguish these two separate things properly - allow to specify the test architecture.
Hi, All,
Now I have parsed the arch from the URL and image name as discussed before. such as http://download.englab.nay.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/releases/15/Fedora/i3... and Fedora-15-x86_64-DVD.iso That is OK for official location and image names. If we can distinguish these two, that would be better.
Thanks, Hongqing
