Hi list,
Have discovered with the help of a hackerspace group that my StorCenter ix-200 http://tinyurl.com/27tegxl has Debian 5 under the hood, with some Vendor firmware bits invloved.
# uname -smr Linux 2.6.22.18 armv5tejl
Would it be possible to convert to Fedora? Only have a lan connection to it.

Yes, it's possible.
Only have a lan connection to it.
That could be a problem. Do you mean that you have no means to reflash it?

what's in /proc/cpuinfo?

possible - yes, but adventurous without a serial console (which likely exists on the system board) or at least a system recovery method

I believe one can be soldered on to the board?

oh, I meant to run "cat /proc/cpuinfo", but at also means you have ssh connection, don't you?

there could even be pins already soldered waiting only on connecting eg. serial-to-usb convertor

Once I get this bit done (serial console), will probably be back, and ressurect this thread.
