I was curious which version did you get? I got mine a couple of weeks
ago, which is a 11' one with 1080p display. According to some
discussion with Icenowy (one of the linux-sunxi community
contributor)
the dtb of 1080 display version seems not fully upstream (at least at
that time).

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the information. I do confirm the U-Boot of 2019.01 boots
on mine.
And just a note, the arm-image-installer do not have pinebook(yet)
listed in the supported boards, so I need to write the U-Boot
manually.
I don't have luck with my serial connection before. But I will try
again this week with the newest Rawhide and see.

so long as you toggle the switch inside the pinebook the serial console
will just work.
