Right -- every `StorageDevice` always has a format. What you could check for, though I'm not sure why you would, is `self.format.type` being `None`.

I'm not 100 % sure but think it is not possible to have a partition without a format. Even unformatted partition has a `DeviceFormat` instance (with type `None`).

Finally I tested this on 100 pages and it was scroll-able without any problem so I think it's OK.
