I too feel that KDE is much more potential desktop then 'G' but the the initial
look and feel what the default istall provides is not justifying with the power that KDE
can offer...
better icons , some initial settings for better performance like precaching if detected
large memory
and a nice and configured panel will certainly help

KDE isn't far behind. We have to consider changing the default theme
distributed by Fedora.
Theme for KDE? GNOME? both? Icons or Window manager? What are the other
alternatives recommended?
