I would like to put this in some budget context. I and Felix are
currently negotiating with Matt and Ruth if the total budget will be
$5000 or $6000. Given that the venue and accommodation costs $3500 we
have $1500-2500 left for travel sponsorship.
If we aim to bring 15 ambassadors there, it's $100-166 per person. It's
hardly enough for ambassadors who can cheaply fly or drive from
continental Europe. That's why we won't certainly have money for
everyone.
I've already spoken with Felix if we could set up some video conference
for those who cannot attend physically either for personal reasons or
because we don't have enough money for them.
Speaking of budget limitations it's necessary to repeat the criteria: I
think it's fair to prefer ambassadors who have been recently active in
participating at and organizing events, active in planning of our
activities in EMEA etc.
