The Indian team for cultural freedom day is planning an online event on 20th May. Primarily it includes Women in Free s/w and Culture (wfs-india.dreamwidth.org), Kolkata GLUG, Mozilla, Gnome and I want to include Fedora as well.
So far we 3 free s/w related event proposals and 1 culture-free s/w related proposal. More of the latter type will be able to help us extend the free s/w network instead of strengthening existing ones.
We want
1. more event proposals 2. Fedora T-shirts etc to be given as prizes for certain events. Who can supply these? 3. I am not sure about what Mozilla can offer
(I know since we have little time what else can be done ... esp about funds )
Essential points of the irc meeting will be out soon.
Please reply soon.
Best

I don't think any one can. As far as I know no one in India has any swag to give out at the moment. There has been talk of getting some made, but it hasn't quite happened yet.

It's too close to the event. You *all* know the drill. A trac ticket must be opened with enough time so that it can be discussed and approved. I don't think there's a wiki page for this event. I know a ticket has not been opened since I've been trying to get them handled asap myself. The event isn't even on the budget list, is it?

If you do want support, you *must* follow the methods outlined :/
From your initial mails to the list, I was under the impression that the event is to be completely IRC based. There was no mention of prizes or swag requirement as far as I can see.
There were repeated emails about updating the budget. It's now been finalized. While Tuan has kept a buffer for unplanned events, an effort must be made to minimize these. If you require funds, please open a trac ticket and I'll try and get it decided upon ASAP.

I have opened a trac ticket here: https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-apac/ticket/80
Full details of program will be available before 12th May
Thanks and Best

Hi Amani,
Since the trac ticket is in place once you get more info please create a wiki page in Fedora wiki and state how much you want for what (cost breakdown). If possible you can produce some Fedora tshirts but since it is small amount the cost will be higher.
We can understand this is urgent so if you provide required info (wiki page) on time we can help you. Thanks for the great work and keep it up !
