This message is primarily directed at the North American Ambassadors.
As y'all probably know, the Red Hat Summit 2010 is coming up. We have a planning page on the wiki here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Red_Hat_Summit_2010
I wanted to put in a request for support, to consist of:
* Event box * Vertical and hanging banners * Any swag that would be appropriate
The audience at the Summit is quite large, usually well over 1,000 people. We have USB keys already being provided which will include a Fedora 13 Live image. I'd like to make sure we have some of the typical goodies to hand out as well. I already have in hand the mailing addresses we need for either an early or a late shipment to the Summit, and can get those addresses to the appopriate people.
How should we proceed from here?
Paul

Hi Paul:
So I imagine that some of this stuff will leave direct from SELF on June 13th - and Ben Williams or I can make sure it leaves directly. There is FOSScon - which is June 19th, which might make for tight shipping deadlines, and mean we want to use a faster shipping method, or perhaps deploy one of the other event boxes. Ben: It seems like we discussed this previously - is there already a plan in place to make sure this stuff arrives at $summithotel before the 22nd?

I have about 40 T-shirts set aside that I am planning on bringing for this event, I can also bring what ever other swag I have with me (stickers, window clings, etc) if needed.

I think it would be helpful, at least to me, to get some numbers. I can also drag along some swag but at this point I have no idea what is necessary. This seems a reasonable number of t-shirts for the event but
Stickers? Clings? Buttons? Case Badges? Pens?
I need to get funding arranged no later than the next FAmNA meeting if we need budget for anything. If we don't have any particular known expenses I'll try to get some discretionary funds to help with whatever might arise. If anyone does know of anything that we might need to pay for please let me know now.
Thanks, John

I've got a whole bunch of stickers & clings and I'm local, I'll try to figure out how many.
Buttons?
I don't think I have anymore of these.
Case Badges?
I might have a few.
Pens?
Don't have any extra I don't think.

We had a conversation on IRC about swag and shipping, and it looks like (including the above) we should be fairly well covered for shirts, clings, case badges, and stickers. We're working on pens, and I think John Rose mentioned he was going to work on buttons. John also mentioned he has 300-400 pieces of media coming as well.
The banners and event box are coming up via the Mel-mobile.
