With Christoph's permission I'm forwarding his message to this list. I felt it be more efficient to move forward with everyone on the same page.
In past (for reasons I don't recall) it was determined that a separate Ambassador's schedule was not needed--similar to each of the team schedules seen in the header of this page: http://poelstra.fedorapeople.org/schedules/f-13/f-13-key-tasks.html
If there is a need now I'd like to have a meeting with FAMSCo to better understand what those needs are so I can correctly capture all the tasks and dependencies that are important to you and create a suitable schedule.
Please let me know how you would like to move forward and how I can best support you.
John
p.s. I do not actively read this list. Please CC me with your reply so that I can promptly get back to you.

As the Ambassadors are the ones to distribute most of the media, they decide what kind of media (GNOME, KDE, LXDE, Xfce) is produced. This decision needs to happen *before* the design team can work on the sleeves.
In the past the design team already complained that we did not follow their schedule but we cannot follow it if we don't know the dates. Please inform the ambassadors of these dates next time and please do it some time in advance so we can align our schedule accordingly.
Thanks, Christoph

thanks for bringing this to the Ambassador List! I also can not recall why we not have official release-specific schedules in Ambassadors in the past - right now i can see definitely two important things to decide before a new Release comes out:
- to make the decission how much and what Media we want to produce for the next Release (this includes to consider how many Events we plan during this release-cycle, logistics etc.)
- Release Event/Party Organization (Call for action, evtl. party contest, ...) (right now FAmSCo has a eye on this, but it could/should be a part of the official schedule to not forget to start with the preparations)
Maybe fellow Ambassadors can think of more?
Most other Marketing related parts are scheduled by other teams

thanks again and cu Joerg

Was there an outcome from this discussion that I should be aware of?

it was discussed on the last FAmSCo Meeting http://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-meeting-1/2010-05-10/fedora-meeting-1.2010-05-10-18.00.log.html with the outcome that FAmSCo Members will collect more regional feedback.

FAD NA is also this week - I'm bringing some marketing / ambassadors cross-team items to talk about, so I will probably have some specific schedule-thoughts to suggest early next week.

What is the current status on this?
We need to start discussing this very soon if you want an Ambassadors schedule for Fedora 14. Schedules for the other teams are already starting to firm up.
