Hi all,
We need for all three areas a leader and a co-leader or a replacement for the new monthly Ambassadors Meeting. The leader hasn't to do all stuff alone, of course. She/He is the person in charge about the meeting but she/he can delegate the issues to ambassadors how are able to help in the same region.
Your mission will be:
First part
- - Fix the time for the meeting in your region. Keep the wishes of your ambassadors in mind, please. - - Fix the day (check [1] for free time slots) - - Invite all persons in your area to participate and everything else in your head...
Second part
- - Collect the topic for the meeting - - Send a reminder for the meeting - - Update the wiki page - - Chair during the meetings - - Create a summary and the IRC log and everything which I forgot right now
All volunteers are welcome. Take the opportunity to bring your area forward and become one of the meeting leaders.
I hope that we will have leaders for all three parts of the world within two weeks.
Regards,
Fabian

Hi all,
A lot of people agreed with the idea of a monthly ambassador meeting. But till now, nobody want to be a meeting leader for an area. Hmmm, what to do now?
- Delete the idea of Ambassador meeting in your minds - Wait till there are some volunteers - Let FAmSCo assign the task to anybody in every area - Let FAmSCo be in charge for the future meetings and their handling - Do nothing and go on up to now (Cancel all meeting due to lack of attendance)
For EMEA, I could be the leader for the meetings (but this was originally not the idea...). I guess that all were looking for a person who is more reliable than me.
Regards,
Fabian

Hi From Buenos Aires I think that you can be the leader without no problem. I think that leave behind the idea of a meeting is a pity. But I think too that could be useful, point the date and time at make a test of concurrence. When more meetings more ambassadors can join the meetings.
I can be the leader meeting for my area (southamerica), probably make a area ambassador meeting and after 2 months make a meeting bewtween local leader meeting ambassador could be a solution.
Other tips: Next week, Latinamerican ambassadors show their faces on Latinoware 2007.
Next week, we will meet Ambassadors from Brazil, Peru, Argentina and Venezuela. This will be an exciting time to reorganize the zone and put Latinamerican in a more participative role in Fedora Wordlwide brotherhood.
Waiting for feedback send u my greeting from a rayni night in Buenos Aires

Thanks. Paraguay is in the middle of South America, I see no problem because you can choose the time of the meeting and so all countries are more or less +/- 1h.
Add yourself to the table at this page [1] and complete the column for your region.

We are still looking for a meeting leader for the asia pacific area and some co-leaders. JuanCarlosLin will lead the meeting for North and South America. Myself will do it for EMEA.
So far the planning is...
North & South America Thursday 13:00 UTC (PST 16:00)
EMEA Wednesday 19.00 UTC (Summer 21.00, Winter 20.00 in central europe) APAC ? Hello there...you are around 80 ambassadors and nothing to discuss? One volunteer from APAC and the annoying messages from me about the meeting leader will stop immediately ;-)
My decision is that for EMEA the first meeting will be in the middle of December because at the end of November will be the FAD [2]. No meeting in November like I said in an older post to the mailing list. The FAD will be a good place to discuss the topics and the time of the future meetings for EMEA. An other reason is that before Christmas all are very busy and I guess it would be good to have it in front of the "final round for buying gifts".

Fabian

I too am surprised that there is no volunteer from APAC. I was hoping to see someone more active than me to take the lead. I will watch the list carefully for couple of days more. If nobody turns up, I will volunteer myself to lead monthly meetings.

Hello! I am newbie ambassador from Pakistan. I don't know about the whole stuff but can offer my services as co-coordinator for APAC meetings. I am wondering is it such a difficult work that no one is coming forward? or the respected ambassadors didn't have sufficient time. Well, what is to do now?
