I believe the XU4 should run fine, there's an issue around rootfs on MMC which has a known work around and there should be a fix in place in> time for F-26 GA. But other than that quirk I believe they run just fine although I'm not sure what you mean by "community kernel" as Fedora ARM supports the pure upstream based Fedora kernel only.

Sidenote: Similar can be produced by Piratebox software, just with more services, and that has another advantage - as we can turn every mobile phone to Fedorator w the android app.
