Hello Everyone,
Greetings. :)
====================================================
Fedora has been using upstart by default since Fedora 9
(
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/Upstart) and will continue to do
so for Fedora 14 as well. Fedora 14 Alpha shipped with systemd by
default for evaluating the feasibility of switching to it but FESCo has
decided to postpone the switch till Fedora 15.
That is very logical and makes sense to me. +1 for your explanation and clarity. :)
====================================================
In current Rawhide,
systemd has become default again and has
obsoleted upstart completely in
anticipation of making it default for Fedora 15. If you have any
questions left, let me know.
Rahul, I tried out Systemd during the Testing Days on 2010-09-07 -
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2010-09-07_Systemd since Systemd is not on
initially on Fedora 14 rawhide, how do I start Systemd? Is there a reference wiki/link or
other information to do so? Thank you for your time and help. :)
====================================================
Sending positive Fedora 13 and Fedora 14 energy from my computer to yours. :)
Let's all help make Fedora 14 a great release!!! A Fedora 14 Release Party is in my
mind. :v)
Please have a great day and/or evening! :~)
Thank You
Sincerely
