I'm in all day. How about 1:00? Though depending on when you get his, you can certainly try before that.
Hey Melinda,
O.K. We are all set. We were just going through everything and making sure we have all the pieces in place. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, we have our weekly meetings on Thursday, so we finally only heard back from everyone yesterday. As for the marketing material, this is what we cam up with:
New For 2006 LinuxWorld Install Pavilion Sponsored by The Fedora Project and Pogo Linux
Interested in getting a taste of Linux on your personal machine? Looking to deploy Linux at the office, but want to try it at home first? Not sure how or where to get started? Let us help.
Bring in your laptop and participate in the newly designed Linux Install Pavilion, sponsored by the Fedora Project, and Pogo Linux. Get Installation help and step-by-step guidance through common install scenarios as well as provide tips, tricks and hints. Experienced project members will be there to help you on your way to becoming a Linux guru in no time! _______________________________________________________________________
Optionally, you could change Linux guru to be Linux Master to sort of cross promote the conference packages.
Also, before we go ahead and finalize everything, we would like to provide some mechanism for pre-registration, just so that we have an idea of who will show up with what hardware. Would you guys be able to accommodate that on the expo website, or would you prefer we host it on the fedora website?
Pending that, we are all set. The other major sponsors are Red Hat and AMD. They will be providing giveaways as well as other technical assistance. Other partners will be participating as well, but in a smaller capacity. I am banking on this being a big success, and I know it will not disappoint.
Happy Holiday wishes, Jack
