Yes, but you can't forget name recognition.
Imagine a newbies dismay to google about this united linux thing that
just came out, only to see notices that the project came to a halt in
2004. I think that we would experience brand dissolution by using
another distributions name in our new name, just as we would with
'Fedora SuSE', although to a lesser degree because United Linux is no
longer active.
