Red Hat is the name of a company. Fedora is the name of a hat.
Fedora is also the kind of hat that is prominently featured in Red
Hat's logo and that was for many years given to Red Hat employees. I
just don't see any way around the fact that fedora hats are associated
in the linux community (and perhaps in a much broader community) with
Red Hat first. I understand that changing the color of the hat
sufficiently distinguishes "ours" from "theirs" in your opinion but
the good folks who take care of the Red Hat brand disagree.
