Wow!  What a story, I like how this story goes.  May I share this story with others?  :)

None of them have been brave enough to replace their OS yet, but at least I've implanted the idea in their minds that Fedora is an alternative, and it can come to their rescue / is a good thing. They've always known that the techies in the office don't run Windows, and now have taken a little more interest in what we do run.

I was always a good scout and tried to be prepared.  Good lesson learned :)

I have been trying a couple of the Fedora 11 (Leonidas) Preview kernels vmlinuz-2.6.29.1-102.fc11.i586 and vmlinuz-2.6.29.1-111.fc11.i586.  :)

The American people whom I have met have expressed interested in getting Fedora 10 and recently, I have found that the Japanese people are very interested in getting Fedora 11.  Seems, like about 15% of the kernel work is coming from Japan.  :)
