We had this idea in marketing [1] and is waiting for me to create a
commblog post with a guide to use fedocal. Also, for the widget, fedocal
can be query, but still need to test it, I think it returns a JSON file.
Hopefully I will be able to finish the post today and make some tests
tomorrow.

This is a great idea. A unified calendar, either global or by region,
would be really helpful for communicating events. Ideally we could
have it display in a widget on the CommOps blog and Fedora Magazine
sites, etc. That doesn't preclude posting events on LWN, the
Opensource.com calendar, etc.
