Hi!

Well, LATAM meetings are in Saturdays so maybe that's a good. Nemanya, can you open "when is good" and send it to the list so we all can vote? Or make a list of proposed days and times and vote it here in the list?
So we can solve this and move on.

Cheers,
Sylvia

I apologize for my absent at the last meeting. it happens sometimes to be so occupied with work, studies and etc that i  forget the meetings at the evenings. However I want to suggest that two things.
* when it comes to have less than x attenders we should cancel the meeting(especially if it is an important one) and try maybe the next day or as soon as possible
* the time should be convenience for the most of us, but we could have a vote to see what other days and hours can be used. I wonder, for example is Saturday would work better or not.

For observations we use KStars and INDI, all data analysis at university
uses Python and some other free software. This is also one of my main
contributions @Fedora: I'm maintaining several scientific packages and
created the Astronomy Spin (https://labs.fedoraproject.org/astronomy/)
to help new users interested in astronomy and also to make Fedora more
interesting for astronomers.

I'm a phd student at University of Marburg (Germany). I'm a long time
Linux user, starting with SuSE Linux in 2003 and was one of the Salix OS
developers until 2012. My first Fedora was Fedora 9, but daily usage
started with Fedora 14. My reasons to move to Fedora where:

* up to date, most without the caveats of rolling release. This is
important as I maintain all computers of our working group at university.
* great set of scientific software packages (only Debian is comparable,
all other distros have less powerful scientific toolchain)
* great infrastructure (things like copr and koji), I missed that when
working for small distributions like Salix
* of course the great community, I got in contact with them in IRC and
especially some events like FrOSCon

Greetings,
Christian
