2009/12/11 Guillermo Gómez <guillermo.gomez(a)gmail.com>:
Probably the main motive of this project is "to focus" on building
non-marketing focused groups but devel/packaging oriented in latam region.
We will be announcing this year a complete project management tool with a
devel cycle version named after Fedora 13 hoping we can recruit and prepare
developers and packagers planning contributing upstream in sync with F13
release.
The whole idea of the project is to help latam enthusiasts to join Fedora
developers and packagers global comunity (we are not looking to create an
outsider repo or alike, rpmfusion will be a second option for packagers).
Documentation will be of course start with partial or total translations
about rpm/packaging in our infrastructure. We will also try to help specific
language programmers to meet and share experiences programming in fedora
(mainly).
Guillermo
I will encourage Leo to focus on what he wants to achieve with his document.
For instance, sankarshan has a great structure that will benefit ideas
from Rodrigo, Tatica and Guillermo.
Because they see the benefits about recruiting all kind of
contributors. It is good and I can not go against that.
But if Leo want to make a good document for helping specifically
Ambassadors in their first steps, then I think Leo can pursue that
objective. Mentors and Ambassadors may benefit a lot from that. It is
more easy to finish one specific guide.
If then another person want to make the "handbook" for arts/design
people, packagers, translators, bug chasers... then we may have a
small collection of guides to contribute with Fedora.
