Hello all,
I was wondering about the possibility of opening a shared Fedora
Meetup.com account. It's become really popular in my area - the main
advantage being that when you type your city, you get all the events
near you that may interest you.
The membership is around $5/month if I understand it correctly and
someone could administer it and create meetups in different cities and
countries for Fedora Release Parties and all kinds of different
events. I wanted to create one for the upcoming F25 release party in
Novi Sad, Serbia, but it seemed too wasteful to open a monthly fee
account for a couple of events per year. :(
It's just an idea I had, so please let me know if you think it's a good
one. :)
Kind regards,
Nemanja

Not everyone can pay the subscription, and they use proprietary
software.
I think it's hard to think that you can freely download fedora, composed
only by free/libre software and then offer a proprietary alternative. It
just goes against the philosophy of the whole thing in my opinion!
