The problem with this particular event is that it seems no one knew this event was going to happen (for Fedora involvement) until that time. By that I mean that this event doesn't seem to have a standard location (It was in Canada last year and Seattle the year before and it seems like next year isn't announced yet) and we were asked to be involved last minute. We didn't even know if anyone would be available until a few weeks ago. Due to the volunteer nature of our group, between juggling IRL (full time work, families, ect), and not including the extra funding that would have been required to obtain through FAmSCO (to cover travel for others to come) on such a short notice (if I understand our new policies right...) I think we should call this a win for getting there, with bonus points for practically no cost.
All that being said, now is a good time to talk about SCaLE for March '18.
