Is the Fedora community in APAC sufficiently aware of the impact of
the role to be able to nominate a suitable candidate?

I am not sure if pure voting is the right method. Should we not
encourage the nominated candidates to demonstrate their willingness to
step up and contribute to this valuable role?
Bumping up this topic/conversation. I see almost no activity at the
ticket. This would lead me to conclude that there's practically no
interest in anyone to step up to this role. Or, it might lead me to
conclude that there is a general lack of understanding of how the role
creates impact for the region.
This is very concerning. It would almost seem like processes have a
stranglehold on the ability to move ahead. If the decision during the
meeting was that voting is the way ahead, should we not expect an
increased level of enthusiasm and participation?
