Yes, that was the question, with the addendum that we make it into an
annual practice for FUDCon APAC and if others agree, for FUDCon LATAM
as well.

If {in,de}flation rates over a year are such that prices double or
halve arbitrarily, then coming up with a FUDCon budget is the least of
your concerns IMO.  Variations in cost are common across the world and
those variations can be quite huge (double or half or even three
times) but they're mostly predictable.  For instance, try booking a
room at Goa during New Years eve or Christmas holidays (or *gasp*
during their carnival!), as opposed to June/July.

My point is that these are factors that the bidding team already needs
to be aware of, so it is not really a new problem.
I agree with Siddhesh here, as he already mentioned since we know the estimate dates prior to planning we could make a rough approximation  for the cost.
