[NA] HackMIT 2017: Call for feedback / Ambassadors
by Justin W. Flory
Hello all,
I filed a ticket this evening for HackMIT 2017 in North America, which
falls on September 16-17, 2017 this year. We attended this event last
year and I'd like to propose for us to go again.

The hackathon organizers requested a confirmation of sponsorship by this
Friday. Our next FAmNA meeting is coming up this Thursday, so if
possible, I'd like to get any feedback before the meeting / get an idea
of who might be available in the region at attend.
I'm hoping that cprofitt and I can repeat what we did last year by
carpooling together from Rochester. If there are other Ambassadors who
are in the US northeast and would like to attend, please let me know as
soon as possible. I'd appreciate having three or four people there if it
makes sense logistically, as it's a big hackathon with almost 1,000
students. If you're interested, please contact me off-list.
Thanks everyone!

Take Away Card
by Brian Exelbierd
Hi All,
In China I saw these cool business cards used to refer booth visitors
back to the project after they walked away. I took them to the LATAM
FAD and people there liked them.
A marketing ticket has been opened about the messaging on them - your
comments would be helpful.

New! Fedora 26 Release Partygoer badge
by Justin W. Flory
Hello Ambassadors!
I wanted to share an update for everyone who is organizing release
parties for Fedora 26 in the coming few months. Continuing from last
year, there is now a badge for you to give to people who attend your
release parties: Fedora 26 Release Partygoer! Event organizers will be
able to issue the badge directly to FAS accounts or create a handy QR
code to print out that people can scan (if you weren't familiar with how
that works).
You can find the badge here:
https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/fedora-26-release-partygoer
If you are organizing a release party in your region, you can be given
authorizations to grant the badge to people who attend your release
parties. In order to be given access, please leave a comment on the
badge ticket with a link to the wiki page for your event (or other
public-facing place with event info). Afterwards, either myself or
another badges admin will be able to grant you access.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Otherwise, happy
upgrades and celebrating! :)
Sorry it's a little later than last year to get the badge created – I
filed the ticket late.
