Some budget questions
by Christoph Wickert
Dear FAmSCo,
I have some questions regarding our budget:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FAmSCo_report_2011-02 lists $3,780 for
F13 media production in EMEA. AFAIC we paid 3665 EUR, but this is more
than $3,780.
On the other hand, the same wiki page lists $7,980 for F14 media. I
guess this is the total budget that was approved, but according to the
ticket at https://fedorahosted.org/famsco/ticket/91 it was 5000 EUR.
Even with the all time high of the EUR we are currently seeing this is
hardly more than $7000.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedoraEvents/SXSW_2011 says that 5,880
media of the design spin were produced. AFAIK media production is
handled by the ambassadors and the budget is approved by FAmSCo, but I
cannot find anything about this in the wiki. Who ordered the media and
who approved the budget?
To me these numbers are really confusing and I wonder if there is a way
how to make things more transparent.
Regards,
Christoph

F14 32-bit LiveCDs available still
by Harish Pillay
Hi. I still have about 400 pcs of F14 liveCDs (32-bit) available and
will be able to ship them out ASAP. Email me privately with:
a) your shipping address
b) a phone #
Do tell me if there will be issues with the customs in getting these
shipped to you for I have had a couple of shipments that got returned
and hence wasted the monies.
Thanks.

FUDCon Milan 2011 BID
by Francesco Crippa
Hi guys,
I'm very happy to have the opportunity to propose Milan as city to host next FUDCon EMEA!
As you probably know the Italian Fedora community is very active, and everyone really likes to bring a major event like FUDCon in our country.
I've crated a page on the wiki with all the information for the bid:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FUDCon:Bid_for_Milan_2011
We have a kind of general agreement for the venue (University of Milan) and the professor in charge of Free Software is interested in helping us to setup the event.
Let me know if you need more information
Hope to see you soon (maybe in Italy!!!) :-)
Take care
Francesco

TXLF Last call for funding.
by Adam Miller
Last call for TXLF funding, travel reimbursements, and lodging.
Anyone wanting to go to TXLF and obtain sponsorship needs to reply to
this email thread in the next 48 hours and explicitly list out exactly
what you need in order to be able to attend. I have been told that there
is no way to offer funding in advance but depending on the requirement
of out of town ambassadors for advanced funding I might be able to
afford to front you the money, collect your receipts and get reimbursed
later. So *please* specify all your needs and your estimated travel
costs based on your milage.
Also, please post the information on the wiki page for public
transparency.
