My Report of the FLISOL México :)
by Manuel Escudero
Today took place FlisoL here in Mexico City as well as in Monterrey, I went
to the ITESM campus (In Coyoacán) and initially it was half ugly because
when I arrived to the conference it was a little late and the Conference
which I wanted to get was knida "cancelled".
Then, I had to wait until 3: 00 pm to join into another one that I was
interested in. (it was 11: 00 am at the time) So I decided to go to the
cinema to watch a movie and return at 3 o' Clock; Unfortunately I was late
and I arrived at the 4: 00 pm Conference, the last, that was about music in
Linux and free software. Not many people entered but was entertaining
because they began giving an introduction to a sheet music MIDI editor, and
when the doubts "arrived" and the speaker was in problems I started to
resolve them :) There was a point where they turned off the computer and
practically I devoted myself to talk about Linux, and what you can do with
it, everything we do as Fedora users and some of my projects of Xenode
Systems. Between questions and questions, I took the rest of the Conference
evangelizing people about Linux and I had fun enough, also I devoted myself
to speak for example about the taboo of "Ubuntu" as the easier distribution
in general supporting RPM Distros, (Obviously Fedora in the most cases) and
how Linux is able to cover all the capabilities of Windows and Mac in some
areas offering up more. So I was solving the speaker questions and who
attended ones in General, talking about issues not only in the musical field
:)
I hope that in the future I can enjoy more events... Thanks to the Fedora
Community for allowing me to be awared about them.

Th Events i have been working over the last year the request for x86_64
media is the most desired. People will take the i386 if the x*6_64 is gone.
either way Clint order what you think and OLF and UTOSC can get rid of
whats left (saving some for the NY event)

by Arturo Fernandez
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Dear Ambassadors,
Open Source World Conference (OSWC) 2010 will be in Spain next october.
In my opinion this event is a great opportunity to talk to people about
Fedora distro & project.
I think we can organize some workshops, install parties and so on.
Call for papers is not open yet but here you can find some information:
http://www.opensourceworldconference.com/malaga10/?q=en/node/28
Ambassador from Spain can organize some of these events for OSWC 2010.
If you are an ambassador from Spain, please contact me to start to
organize. Everybody is invited too, of course!!
Thanks a lot!
Cheers,
Arturo.

Request for Comments: Fedora Project Contributor Agreement Draft (Replacement for Fedora Individual Contributor License Agreement)
by Tom Callaway
Hello Fedora! (Is this thing on?)
Sorry for the very wide net, but we wanted to make sure as many members
of our community could see this as possible.
For some time now, Fedora has been working with Red Hat Legal to come up
with a replacement for the Fedora Individual Contributor License
Agreement (aka, the Fedora ICLA). As a result, the Fedora Project
Contributor Agreement (FPCA) has been approved by Red Hat Legal, and is
now being presented to the Fedora Community for comments and discussion.
The full text of the FPCA, along with a FAQ, can be found here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Legal:Revised_Fedora_CLA_Draft
Please, take a moment and read the FPCA and the FAQ. It is not a long,
or overly complicated document, as legal documents go, but it is
important that all Fedora Contributors read it over and make sure they
understand it and like it (or can at least agree to it).
Fedora Legal wishes to give the Fedora community a window of time for
discussion and review of the FPCA. This window is open until May 18,
2010 (2010-05-18). After that point, either a revised FPCA will be
released for review, or we will begin the process of phasing in the FPCA
and phasing out the Fedora ICLA.
Thanks in advance,
Tom "spot" Callaway, Fedora Legal
P.S. Fedora Legal would like to give a huge thank you to the people
involved behind the scenes to make the FPCA possible. The primary author
was Richard Fontana, with feedback from Tom Callaway, Pamela Chestek,
Paul Frields, and Robert Tiller. Feel free to give them gifts (for
example, drinks or tasty snacks) as thank yous, although, this is not a
requirement (legal or otherwise). ;)

Default desktop background in F13 (Was: Re: Not right list to ask)

devel@ would be a better choice.
Alternatively, you send the email to <package>-owner at
fedoraproject.org and that will redirect your email to the package
maintainers.
In your case, that would be goddard-backgrounds-owner at
fedoraproject.org (I CC-ed them).
Martin, as you're the maintainer, do you have any insight on the
following issue?
