I'm curious to know who else is planning on attending, and to figure out
a bit of travel coordination.
I'm looking at arriving on Thursday May 20 at around 4:30 PM and
departing on Sunday May 23, with options being either 1:30 PM or 6:45
I don't want to buy anything until we have a chance to coordinate a bit
though, either to pile into a shuttle, or to only have to impose on
inode0 giving us a ride once rather than a bunch of times.
Can we say March 20 as a deadline for saying whether or not you will
attend this FAD?
It's been mentioned a few times that we need to make new tshirts in NA,
and that the process is stuck on something. Perhaps that something is
If so, here's my attempt to un-stuck it:
If the NA Ambassadors have decided what shirts they want to make, and
have a quote lined up that is somewhere in the $2k neighborhood (just
for budget planning purposes), let's pull the trigger.
You guys don't need a +1 from me -- the whole point of setting aside
buckets of money per quarter per region is to avoid bottlenecks. Just
hook me up with an invoice, and a contact name/number/email and I can
handle the payment.
some days ago at the Marketing FAD 2010 as Paul and I stand in front of
a small guitar shop I had the idea to have some kind of Fedora Band.
At events like FUDCON or summit's, etc. we can perform live and the
other time we can exercise over the Internet. Other ideas welcome.
I found a tool like http://www.tracksandfields.com wich we can use, but
maybe some other guys know other tools. Also I do not think that the
Fedoraband like that one http://www.fedoraband.com/ has anything to do
with us (if otherwise known please tell me ;-) ).
If somebody think thats a cool idea and want to participate, please have
a look at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedoraproject_Band for more
info and check yourself in. So, rock it!

Since I am working on Fedora Ambassadors FAQ page, I would like to hear,
particularly from new ambassadors, what problems do they face. Any sort of
confusions or misleading stuff they came across might be useful for FAQ.
If the ambassadors have faced some problem and have solved it, they might
also include the strategy they adopted. Please write everything in relevance
to the Ambassador FAQ.
Hi fellow ambassadors,
somebody just asked me if Fedora is going to participate at
"Linuxwochen", which take place May 6-8th in Vienna, Austria.
If you are interested, please take a look at
The homepage is just about being updated with more details for 2010.
The call for papers is still open.
I would like to see Fedora having a booth there. If somebody is able to
make this happen, please add the event to the list in our wiki and make
a wiki page for further planning.
