Re: [Ambassadors] ambassadors Digest, Vol 88, Issue 10

> First of all I don't agree with your motion to separate both.
In Fedora Project you set the limits. Distinction between the two does
not make sense for me. So increment that one.
> I do not think this will work, nor would Red Hat be able to pay for so many interns.
Maybe it can. No one's asking to hire _all_ the applicants. Just hire
the best. That would increase competition (in a good way) and
encourage others to come up.
> I also believe, if you work hard at University, gained enough experience, you will sell yourself to an organization, be it Red Hat or any other.

EMEA media general ordering and distribution process
by Sascha Thomas Spreitzer
Hello true freedom fighters,
I suggest to implement the following;
1. I will take responsibility of the media ordering and shipping
process in future
2. Max Spevack/RedHat will authorize me by a letter/signed statement
to order in the responsibility and the name of RedHat, the media (
with criterias included; eg. budget)
3. I will order on behalf of RedHat and collect the media and ship it
to distribution centres in the EMEA community
4. media order cycle is every quarter which is two times for each release
5. I will give a process flow description on the wiki pages
6. Tool for the process flow will be the EMEA swag tracker
@Max; If this is ok for you, Ill send you my address for the letter,
and we can go straight ahead.

BASIS SoftExpo 2010

Dear All,
Hope you are doing fine.
I'm one of the Fedora Ambassador from Bangladesh and is involved with a
volunteer group named Ankur[0]; my colleague (Jamil Ahmed) is the l10n
maintainer[1] for Bengali(bn_BD). My organization is involved with l10n
project and Spreading FOSS in Bangladesh for last several years.
You will be glad to know that we are attending annual Software Exhibition
2010 [2] arranged by Bangladesh Association of Software and Information
Services (BASIS) [3]. It will be held between February 10-14, 2010. More
than 200 exhibitors and over 300,000 visitors and delegates are expected to
participate and attend this 5 day long exposition.
We will demonstrate and distribute Bengali localized Linux Distributions and
FOSS - which includes Fedora12. We are developing Bangla user manuals with
localized screenshots - which will be distributed in this event too. We are
planning to distribute a large number of DVD, Stickers, Flyer throughout the
5 day exhibition - as far as we can afford.
It will be a great help if we have your support. I've updated my event in
FY10 Q4 [4]. Please let us know the possibility.
Regards,
Mahay Alam Khan (mak)

The Fedora Unity Project is proud to announce the release of new ISO
Re-Spins of Fedora 12.
These Re-Spin ISOs are based on the officially released Fedora 12
installation media and include all updates released as of February 2nd,
2010.
The ISO images are available for i386, x86_64, architectures via Jigdo
or Torrent starting Wednesday February 10th, 2010 (saving about 437MB
of updates for a default install).
Go to http://spins.fedoraunity.org/spins to get the bits!
We are glad to be able to announce the current Fedora 12 Re-Spin,
20100202, despite problems in this Re-Spin. Nonetheless, we, Fedora
Unity, have decided to release this Re-Spin with the following side-note:
****Due to a newly discovered bug the re-spins do not include
all the SCSI drivers (BUSLOGIC as an example which is used by VMware) ***
We would like to give a special thanks to the following for testing this
Re-Spin:

Event box for Canada
by Rene Jr Purcell
As discussed on the last meeting I had to see if we was able to buy
the case from a local supplier at a better price. The answer is no, so
we will have to buy it online.
The best overall price with shipping we've found on the net are on
boss-safety website.
The case model is: Pelican 1610NF Protector Case
I know the end of the fiscal year is coming ( 15 feb. ?), so I think
we need to hurry.
Max Spevack is the person I have to talk, but with FOSDEM I didn't see
him on IRC since few days.. So I'm writing here hoping he get the
message or someone else could help!
Thanks!
