Release Events Contest: deadlines and other communications
by Francesco Ugolini
Hi,
during today FAmSCo meeting we discussed about Release Events and we
pointed out a deadline FAmSCo will follow (if nothing will go wrong):
Saturday 25th July - Friday 7th August : discussion and revision of
reports (will be done in the FAmSCo list)
Saturday 8th August: decision and, as soon as we can, official announcement
We invite everyone, who hasn't do it yet, to add reports link in
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Release_Party (there is the reports
column).
During the meeting we have defined the general criteria, that we will
explain along with the Release Contest winner announcement.
We hope you have enjoyed organizing Release Events, sure your reports
have helped us understanding what we can do for the next releases.
Regards
Francesco Ugolini

Let's combine both shirt styles
by john kearney
Gentlemen, Perhaps we could combine both shirts. Consider the camp shirt....cool, comfortable, and has buttons. The Fedora logo could be placed on the collar with the name on the sleeve, or have the logo placed on the chest with "Fedora Ambassador" beneath.

I also couldn't make the mtg last night, as I was at a family function. Just FYI, I was going to suggest another round of Ambassador polos when I get back from vacation next week. Why not keep the Ambassador shirts consistent?

I just mentioned in IRC that I thought we might consider doing a run
of lanyards for the upcoming shows in Atlanta and Albuquerque. If
anyone wants to find a vendor and get a quote that would be great. I
expect 1000 would cover both of those shows easily.
StabbyMc volunteered to look into alternate ambassador shirts so how
about working with him on that front?

Event in SRM - follow up
by Salvadesswaran P.S.
Hi. I had posted about the event in SRM. My friend who's in charge of
it is hopeful of confirmation by 25 July. He wants to know if Fedora
can sponsor the event. I'm not sure, so I'm guiding him to
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Sankarshan/Questions where there
are a few details. Another FA, Sri Ramadoss (amachu) has consented to
help me, but I still have this question of sponsorship. I'm thinking
what to do until the event is confirmed.

+1 to this -- a Fedora Oxford or something like it sounds great.

That is an argument in favor of sticking with polos. But on the other
hand not everyone likes wearing polos and prefers a shirt with buttons
that is a bit more formal. I don't think anyone wants to stop doing
polos, lots of people would just like a non-polo Fedora ambassador
shirt too. Actually, I don't even care much if it is an ambassador
shirt at all, I'd be just as happy with a dressier Fedora shirt.
