Plans for Monday and Release Day
by Jack Aboutboul
Hello All,
Cross posting this to a couple of lists, so that we can mobilize as many
people on the ground as possible.
Tuesday is sure to be a very big day for all of us. I'm gonna try and
lay out some of the activities that are being planned for Monday, to
build buzz, and then for Tuesday, release day. If you have any
comments, of course, please reply.
*Monday, 15:00 UTC Time, 10:00AM Eastern Time *
Start releasing some media, including a couple of interviews and the
Fedora 11 Tour, which can be found here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_11_tour
I need a volunteer to submit it to the various social news sites, and
then I will follow up and coordinate with people to digg it/pick it
up/tag it, etc. **It is important that we all put in effort to take a
couple minutes to participate in these things, because alot of effort
goes into posting this stuff up and if we don't do it, its a tremendous
missed opportunity to build buzz.**
For all those involved in the News Distribution Network, or if you want
to be involved, please help spread these around to sites in your native
language and add news source to the list linked of the main page. A
list is here is linked off the main page:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing_news_distribution_network
*Tuesday, 15:00 UTC Time, 10:00AM Eastern Time
*Fedora 11 is released.
Fedora News Distribution Network guys are supposed to spring into action.
We have a press archive set up at:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing/PressArchive/F11
If you come across something interesting, whether in english, or
whatever language is your preference, please feel free to add it there.
This will be a great resource is tracking what press coverage looks like
on release day, and the in the days afterwards, when people finally get
F11 installed and up and running.
Also, for the marketing and ambassadors teams, will be on irc all day
long in #fedora-mktg, in constant contact, posting whatever we find on
the net and paying attention to conversations taking place so that we
can counteract as much FUD as possible. For anyone doing that, please
be courteous in your replies, we are all representatives of the
community and there is no reason to get involved in flame wars.
Please add stuff, as I am sure there is more stuff to do. Otherwise, I
wish everyone a good weekend and look forward to Tuesday which is going
to be an awesome day.

FAmNA Meeting Summary from 2009-06-02
by inode0
* Announcements
- Town Halls and elections for the Fedora Board and FESCo are approaching.
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-advisory-board/2009-June/msg00015....
* Request for new Fedora Splatter t-shirts
- This was overwhelming approved and Demonjester will again work with
the manufacturer and get back to FAmNA with details as soon as they
are available.
* Events [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedoraEvents]
- Montreal Linux Symposium
djf_jeff inquired about conference fees for this event, ke4qqq
requested a conference page be put on the wiki with the budget
needed since it exceeded a trivial amount.
It appears there is a steep hike in the fee after June so this
needs resolution and quick payment if it is approved.
- OSCON
lcafiero and quaid filled us in on initial thinking about this event.
Details about some of the expected costs next meeting with luck.
- Red Hat Summit / JBossWorld
inode0 discussed ideas related to the Summit. quaid and others offered
help with provisioning USB sticks and generally moving planning forward.
- OLF
DemonJester and VileGent took ownership of the Ohio LinuxFest.
* Budget Review [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/NA/Budget]
- VileGent reports about the new east coast event box and is approved
to get the rest of the bits it needs for SELF.
- inode0 reports getting 20,000 Fedora tattoos.
- dthomasdigital reports getting the 5,000 case badges.
* Tasks [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/NA/Tasks]
- no report
* Open Floor
- polos! ambassadors want polos!
non-polo shirts! ambassadors want non-polo shirts!
I would again like to thank all the participants, especially the new
ambassadors joining us for the first time tonight.

Russian Fedora Remix \ Freemedia Thoughts?
by Frank Murphy
Just throwing this out for feedback.
If there was enough interest within Russian Ambassadors,
and no legal blockers.
Not even sure of spins\ if any.
Maybe the Russian Re-Mix could be offered as an option?

Fedora 11: Raise thy Mighty... Finger?
by Jack Aboutboul
http://jaboutboul.blogspot.com/2009/06/fedora-11-raise-thy-might-finger.html
Authentication is an aspect of computing which many take for granted.
What's all the fuss? you think. Username, password and that's that. In
the following Q&A session with Bastien Nocera, long time Fedora
Contributor and Desktop Renaissance Man, we discover that when it comes
to authentication, there is more than meets the finger!
With fingerprint and other biometric authentication options gaining more
popularity, its time to get more creative regarding their use. Many
laptops have had built-in fingerprint readers for upwards of two years
now and Fedora 11, thanks to Bastien and crew, does a solid job of
making that option a viable one for Linux desktop user. How did we make
this happen for Fedora 11? Will your Fedora laptop one day be able to
authenticate you on the web using your finger? Will we ever get GNOME
keyring to unlock using a fingerprint? What will Bastien work on next?
All this and more if you keep reading below!
Or above in this case...

(08:05:50 PM) ke4qqq: inode0: that is the proposed schedule
(08:06:14 PM) inode0: ke4qqq: it seems a little late to stick to it at

(08:09:31 PM) inode0: DemonJester: you know anything about what needs
to be done to make it happen?
(08:09:52 PM) ke4qqq: comraderaikov: dissension is ok
(08:10:00 PM) inode0: comraderaikov: you can vote -1 but you lose this vote :)
(08:10:09 PM) DemonJester: I have already contacted the tshirt
supplier for pricing on black shirts and the new layout. Just waiting
to hear back from them
(08:10:42 PM) DemonJester: it looks like the splatter design would be
6 colors on black or 5 colors on white
(08:11:04 PM) inode0: I definitely think black is the best base color
(08:11:36 PM) jrdavis: I agree, it keeps with the fedora themes well.
(08:11:49 PM) dthomasdigital: Just as long as we have extra large (not
that I need that size) ;)
(08:11:50 PM) DemonJester: we would obviously have a setup / layout
fee to deal with for the new design but I will have to wait to here
back from them on the multi-color pricing.
(08:11:58 PM) inode0: we have discussed it with spevack already so he
is prepared that it might come in a bit higher than last time
(08:12:32 PM) DemonJester: we looking about the same amount as last time?
(08:12:41 PM) DemonJester: shirt qty wise
(08:12:56 PM) inode0: I'd say as many as we can afford, at least 300
(08:13:19 PM) DemonJester: we ordered 300 last time. Let me get
pricing for that amount and we can go from there
(08:13:33 PM) ke4qqq: I think 280 is the pricebreak
(08:13:44 PM) DemonJester: 279 to be exact ;-)
(08:13:50 PM) inode0: right, we have some lower color options with the
same basic design if this is too expensive
(08:13:55 PM) ***lcafiero sneaks into the back and sits down.
(08:14:40 PM) inode0: but I think we need to pay the price to make
ianweller famous
(08:15:05 PM) DemonJester: that's all I have for now.
(08:15:15 PM) inode0: ok, any other comments?
(08:15:31 PM) inode0: we'll get an update by next meeting I expect (in
two weeks)
(08:15:46 PM) DemonJester: if not before on the ml
(08:15:58 PM) inode0: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedoraEvents
(08:16:21 PM) inode0: It is ask for money night, is anyone prepared to
ask for money?
(08:16:36 PM) ***inode0 waves hand timidly
(08:16:56 PM) DemonJester: q2 or q3?
(08:17:08 PM) ***djf_jeff too
(08:17:09 PM) inode0: either for sponsorship
(08:17:16 PM) dthomasdigital: I'm ready for q3
(08:17:31 PM) inode0: mostly Q2 for regular event funds although
including very early Q3 events
(08:17:44 PM) dthomasdigital: I'm late q3
(08:17:44 PM) DemonJester: q3 here as well
(08:18:01 PM) inode0: that is probably just the summit in Q3 that
needs to be paid for in Q2
(08:18:12 PM) djf_jeff: more a question, I just want to know if the
registration for MLS is paid? My employer cover the rest of the
expense for the moment
(08:18:47 PM) inode0: djf_jeff: no one has asked us for anything so we
haven't done anything with respect to MLS
(08:18:53 PM) inode0: but let's start with MLS
(08:18:57 PM) inode0: what do you need?
(08:19:34 PM) djf_jeff: I have a free place to stay, meat to eat, bus
is paid, I think just the registration fee
(08:19:56 PM) djf_jeff: my employer take care of all the cost except
the registration
(08:19:57 PM) inode0: what is that? we don't know any details I don't think
(08:20:27 PM) ke4qqq: djf_jeff: do you need more than 100 bucks?
(08:20:35 PM) djf_jeff: it's the montral linux symposium
(08:21:05 PM) lcafiero: I'll bring up OSCON at the next meeting.
(08:21:25 PM) ke4qqq: if you need more than 100 create a wiki page
with your budget and send a link to it to the list
(08:21:26 PM) djf_jeff: 395$ for registration
(08:21:33 PM) inode0: lcafiero: can we talk about that one next a bit
(doesn't need to be all firm tonight)
(08:21:41 PM) ke4qqq: ok, we can cover that prolly
(08:22:02 PM) inode0: do we get a booth? is there a cost for that?
what are we doing there exactly?
(08:22:56 PM) djf_jeff: it's for the Fedora presence in Quebec, it's
the only expense for the conference, everything else is covered
(08:23:00 PM) ke4qqq: djf_jeff: but please create us a wiki page with
your budget and what we get - ie do we get a booth - how much is the
booth.
(08:23:29 PM) djf_jeff: fine, I will do that tomorrow
(08:24:00 PM) inode0: If you are hosting a Mini-Summit or a tutorial
you also do not pay for registration. <- I don't know what those
things are but ...
(08:24:21 PM) djf_jeff: I will try to talk with Andrew from the MLS
for what we can really do to push Fedora there for maximum visibility
(08:24:41 PM) djf_jeff: I was planning a FAD of some sort
(08:25:13 PM) djf_jeff: Fedora presence in Canada is still small for the moment
(08:25:21 PM) lcameron: I'll see if I can get my work to send me to MLS too
(08:25:22 PM) ke4qqq: djf_jeff: cool - we'll be happy to help - just
work up the numbers of a rough guess.
(08:25:46 PM) djf_jeff: trying to build it slowly but surely
(08:26:11 PM) inode0: yes, and talk to andrew for some guidance about
what opportunities exist for us at the event
(08:26:17 PM) djf_jeff: thank you, I will do that
(08:27:25 PM) inode0: lcafiero: any thoughts tonight about OSCON
generally - it is normally one of the largest conferences
(08:29:41 PM) lcafiero: We'll be there. I have put in the paperwork
for a table but haven't heard back from them yet. Since it's in San
Jose, Karsten and I will probably commute, reducing travel costs.
(08:30:05 PM) inode0: any ideas about other fedora folks going?
(08:30:21 PM) lcafiero: I haven't figured out how much sponsorship and
such will be just yet.
(08:30:31 PM) lcafiero: Nor the personnel of who's going.
(08:30:38 PM) inode0: still early
(08:30:41 PM) lcafiero: (who's going? show of hands?)
(08:30:52 PM) VileGent: -1
(08:31:05 PM) quaid: +1
(08:31:08 PM) inode0: I'm not overly interested in sponsoring OSCON personally
(08:31:21 PM) crossbytes: +1?
(08:31:27 PM) lcafiero: I think quaid has applied to present, true?
(08:31:36 PM) quaid: lcafiero: I either forgot or was denied
(08:31:41 PM) dthomasdigital: It's so expensive for an open source conference.
(08:31:58 PM) DemonJester: -1
(08:32:00 PM) lcafiero: I know you were denied for linuxworld, oh
sorry open source cough microsoft world
(08:32:18 PM) quaid: yeah, I think I failed at OSCON this time or somethiing.
(08:32:26 PM) inode0: I support going and having a great presence -
I'm just personally more inclined to sponsor more community driven
events
(08:32:36 PM) lcafiero: oh, I thought it was opensource world.
(08:32:37 PM) quaid: inode0: how do you mean about not sponsoring?
I.e., not being a "silver sponsor"?
(08:32:48 PM) lcafiero: Yeah, I don't think it's the same as sponsoring LFNW.
(08:32:51 PM) quaid: inode0: ah
(08:32:54 PM) inode0: quaid: I don't want to give ORA $1,000 to spend
however they want
(08:32:58 PM) lcafiero: OSCON has O'Reilly behind it.
(08:33:13 PM) quaid: lcafiero: my talk was denied for OSW, I failed to
send a request to OSCON, iirc
(08:33:27 PM) lcafiero: Oh, got it. Thanks, quaid.
(08:33:35 PM) ke4qqq: lcafiero: so there is going to be no OSB presence?
(08:33:59 PM) VileGent: I will contact OLF to get the info about getting a table
(08:34:02 PM) inode0: there will be attendees from Fedora
(08:34:22 PM) DemonJester: ! about OLF as well when everyone is done
(08:34:48 PM) lcafiero: if poelcat is here, he could elaborate on his
e-mail to f-a-l, but my understanding is that there is no "exhibit"
per se at OSB.
(08:34:49 PM) quaid: ke4qqq: stickster_afk is talking at OSB, iirc
(08:34:53 PM) inode0: quaid: was I clear with you? I totally support
funding Fedora at OSCON
(08:34:54 PM) ke4qqq: lcafiero: if you aren't going to use the event
box at OSB - I at least need the banner for SELF
(08:35:11 PM) quaid: inode0: yeah, I getcha; it was that slipper
'sponsoring' word
(08:35:21 PM) lcafiero: We hadn't planned to use the event box for
OSB, so I can send the banner.
(08:35:41 PM) lcafiero: Do you need the box, ke4qqq?
(08:37:03 PM) ke4qqq: lcafiero: perhpas lets talk after the meeting
(08:37:32 PM) inode0: well, I am in something of the same boat with
respect to the Summit
(08:37:52 PM) inode0: very hard to nail down numbers 3 months out with
little information
(08:38:07 PM) inode0: here is what I think I know at this point
(08:38:39 PM) inode0: Red Hat will provide USB sticks to all attendees
that will be large enough, either 2GB or 4GB
(08:39:02 PM) inode0: I'm trying to persuade them to let some of us
pre-image them with Fedora before the event
(08:39:15 PM) inode0: I don't think that is going well
(08:39:28 PM) DemonJester: was just going to say that...
(08:39:46 PM) inode0: So we may end up doing the usb station thing
again which I did not really like last time
(08:40:27 PM) inode0: But however that works out, everyone will have a
USB stick that we can put Fedora on rather than distributing plastic
(08:40:47 PM) inode0: Of course we'll still need media, but not a huge
amount of it
(08:40:58 PM) quaid: inode0: who are you working with to get Fedora on that?
(08:41:05 PM) ***quaid smells an opportunity ...
(08:41:26 PM) inode0: Paul and Max because no one is connecting me
with the Red Hat peeps directly
(08:41:38 PM) quaid: ruh roh, if they are having troubles ...
(08:41:56 PM) quaid: I'll ask Paul for the inside baseball story, see
if I can help ...
(08:42:09 PM) inode0: well, the only trouble is getting the images
pre-installed and that is a complication
(08:42:27 PM) inode0: thanks
(08:42:49 PM) inode0: There has been no indication the sticks will be
Fedora branded this year and I'm assuming they won't be
(08:43:18 PM) VileGent: i aint maning the table this year
(08:43:23 PM) quaid: ah, it's a problem with pre-loading?
(08:43:35 PM) quaid: how about we do it in advance
(08:43:40 PM) inode0: quaid: if we have a company do it then it gets a
real old image
(08:43:52 PM) quaid: because of the lead time?
(08:43:54 PM) inode0: so I want us to do it shortly before the event
(08:44:06 PM) DemonJester: +1
(08:44:09 PM) inode0: that requires getting access to the sticks and so forth
(08:44:10 PM) quaid: what if we send them around to everyone who
volunteers, even if only 10 and I have to do 100, a month is a long
time to do that.
(08:44:28 PM) quaid: we can spin up a F11+updates etc.
(08:45:13 PM) crossbytes: how many stick would we be looking at
(08:45:15 PM) inode0: if we do it onsite as last year many people
won't stop because of the crowd
(08:45:37 PM) VileGent: we had alot stop last year
(08:45:48 PM) inode0: a lot stopped but it wasn't 1500
(08:46:01 PM) VileGent: no it wasnt 1500
(08:46:09 PM) quaid: ha, you think there were 1500 attendees?
(08:46:16 PM) ***quaid has no clue to be honest
(08:46:20 PM) inode0: that is what Paul told me
(08:46:25 PM) quaid: wow
(08:46:27 PM) inode0: and I don't doubt it
(08:46:32 PM) DemonJester: it was packed!
(08:46:41 PM) quaid: I will then volunteer to make 150+ in the month ahead
(08:46:46 PM) quaid: I have three USB ports on my machine :)
(08:46:59 PM) DemonJester: I will help make them as well if we can get them
(08:47:03 PM) VileGent: quiad are they on the same bus
(08:47:08 PM) inode0: quaid: if you can help push the idea that we can
get it done please help
(08:47:13 PM) quaid: VileGent: probably :(
(08:47:27 PM) quaid: VileGent: it's not speed, it's "I can make three
at a time and not think about it as much"
(08:47:41 PM) quaid: inode0: it was just soooooo disappointing last year
(08:47:53 PM) inode0: I don't have expected numbers for this year but
I'm pretty sure JBossWorld will bring more people than FUDcon did last
year
(08:48:02 PM) ***vwbusguy- is here
(08:48:19 PM) quaid: inode0: oh, right, I forgot that ... yeah,
topping 2K is possible, huh
(08:48:39 PM) inode0: the economy will hurt, so I can't predict
(08:49:01 PM) quaid: right, but even if attendance at both is off by
25%, that's still a ton
(08:49:19 PM) inode0: yes, we should expect 1500 I think on the low side
(08:50:13 PM) inode0: ok, let's think about how to handle the USB
images outside the meeting - that needs some thought
(08:50:46 PM) inode0: we can pay someone to do them fast, but I've
heard bad things about doing that
(08:51:29 PM) vwbusguy-: creating the imageas in the iso to put on
USB, or creating the live USBs?
(08:51:41 PM) crossbytes: if u do an f11 updates would u not have to
give out 2 to every person? and what would the base image be?
Gnome/kde Xfce4/lxde?
(08:52:21 PM) vwbusguy-: crossbytes: inthe past we've given out the
live CDs with GNOME
(08:52:27 PM) inode0: vwbusguy-: having someone image the sticks with
a fedora image we provide
(08:52:50 PM) vwbusguy-: inode0: I might be able to help some with that
(08:53:04 PM) vwbusguy-: I have several available USB ports at my house :-)
(08:53:18 PM) inode0: that forces the image to be quite dated by
Fedora standards and I've heard of lots of non-bootable sticks from
these sorts of places
(08:54:04 PM) inode0: let's table this, do some math later to see how
many people we would need, then find out if Red Hat would cooperate
with us to do it
(08:54:33 PM) inode0: sounds like we can at least get some Fedora
volunteers willing to do it
(08:55:08 PM) inode0: I'd like to get Fedora branded pens for the
conference bags
(08:55:28 PM) inode0: that is the only unusual swag I had in mind for this event
(08:56:49 PM) inode0: so one question is should I just produce for
this event or try to do more?
(08:57:38 PM) DemonJester: depends on what the pricing and budget looks like
(08:57:40 PM) inode0: I think we'd be looking at 600-800 maybe for this event
(08:58:44 PM) DemonJester: are they el-cheapo pens or the more stylish
looking ones?
(08:58:59 PM) inode0: cheap but good bic click sticks
(08:59:15 PM) inode0: s/cheap/inexpensive
(08:59:19 PM) dthomasdigital: Let me know if you find a good price on bags.
(08:59:24 PM) DemonJester: cool...
(08:59:42 PM) ***inode0 isn't pricing bags
(08:59:49 PM) inode0: just pens to put into bags :)
(09:00:19 PM) VileGent: dthomasdigital, talk to walmart or the
closest gas station to the event to get them to donate a roll of
plastic bags
(09:00:31 PM) DemonJester: lol
(09:00:42 PM) dthomasdigital: Need bags that can be silkscreened
(09:01:07 PM) dthomasdigital: walmart bags might melt in the heaters lol
(09:01:40 PM) herlo: dthomasdigital: I used someone called motivators in 2007
(09:01:44 PM) inode0: speakers - with the exception of DeHaan I
haven't heard of any confirmed Fedora speakers
(09:02:27 PM) DemonJester: I heard of a few that got denied..
(09:02:40 PM) inode0: yes, I got flushed
(09:03:07 PM) dthomasdigital: herlo thanks I'll look them up
(09:03:14 PM) herlo: they were pretty good
(09:03:48 PM) inode0: that is all I have tonight on the summit
(09:04:12 PM) inode0: any other event business?
(09:04:19 PM) DemonJester: !
(09:04:25 PM) inode0: go
(09:04:32 PM) DemonJester: In regards to OLf a few things.
(09:04:54 PM) dthomasdigital: Don't forget November is fantastic in
New Mexico would love to see you on the 14th.
(09:05:24 PM) DemonJester: Do we have anyone on the ground to own
this? It looks like a booth is $75 for the Non-Profit Expo or $500 for
a Bronze Sponsor
(09:05:54 PM) inode0: what else if anything does a bronze sponsor get?
(09:06:18 PM) ke4qqq: lunch
(09:06:28 PM) DemonJester: I believe we were in the non-profit section
last year. Bronze gets you Expo Booth, Linsting in program guide and
Link placement on website
(09:06:34 PM) ke4qqq: though North Market is great and only a block away.
(09:06:48 PM) DemonJester: s/Linsting/listing
(09:06:50 PM) ke4qqq: DemonJester: I think we sponsored them last year
- if we didn't I'd like to know what we spent 1700 on
(09:07:12 PM) ***inode0 observes that the announcement is out and the
1st town hall is 10am eastern tomorrow morning
(09:07:31 PM) DemonJester: There are other sponsor options so perhaps
we did one of those http://ohiolinux.org/sponsor-application.html
(09:08:13 PM) VileGent: DemonJester, the person that had taken care
of this in the past is no longer around
(09:08:40 PM) inode0:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-advisory-board/2009-June/msg00015....
(09:08:56 PM) DemonJester: I guess what I am asking is if we dont have
anyone locally to own this, I am really thinking about taking it, but
I may need some $$ assistance to get there a little earlier.
(09:10:52 PM) ***inode0 has no objection to sponsoring at the bronze level
(09:11:04 PM) VileGent: DemonJester, if you get a table i will be there to help
(09:11:21 PM) ***inode0 has no objection to DemonJester running this show
(09:11:37 PM) arunava: well i have few connections in India.. they
might join as sponsors..may be an expo booth or two..
(09:11:40 PM) inode0: others are going too
(09:12:01 PM) DemonJester: VileGent: sounds good, we can burn images
the whole event again ;-)
(09:12:20 PM) VileGent: DemonJester, i have every year so far,
(09:12:30 PM) inode0: how about you guys both own it?
(09:12:47 PM) DemonJester: That works for me if VileGent is ok with it.
(09:12:48 PM) arunava: :)
(09:12:51 PM) inode0: and figure out what we want for us :)
(09:12:54 PM) VileGent: also karlie robinson is suppose to be coming
and bringing her duplicator
(09:13:17 PM) VileGent: i will sign up as co owner
(09:13:51 PM) inode0: we have some time for that one so you guys just
figure what you think would be best for us
(09:14:08 PM) DemonJester: cool, I will update the event page and get
the info we need and discuss it next meeting.
(09:14:20 PM) inode0: thank you both very much
(09:14:44 PM) inode0: last call for events?
(09:15:05 PM) inode0: any stray budget things?
(09:15:11 PM) VileGent: another event box is the works
(09:15:18 PM) VileGent: for the east
(09:15:23 PM) DemonJester: yeah!
(09:15:44 PM) inode0: right, if no one else objects let's just
authorize VileGent to outfit it within reason :)
(09:15:53 PM) DemonJester: +1
(09:16:24 PM) DemonJester: be sure to include the built in still :-)
(09:16:42 PM) inode0: oh, I hadn't thought of that
(09:16:46 PM) VileGent: the box is big but it aint that big
(09:16:57 PM) DemonJester: heh
(09:17:03 PM) arunava: +1
(09:17:20 PM) inode0: VileGent: hearing no objection just proceed
along the lines we discussed earlier
(09:17:43 PM) inode0: i.e., get what you need
(09:18:04 PM) ke4qqq: +1
(09:18:05 PM) VileGent: i am hoping the box will be here this week, so
i am planning to hauling it to self
(09:18:29 PM) inode0: let me mention that I received 20,000 tattoos
since our last meeting courtesy of the work of davdunc
(09:18:56 PM) ***inode0 looks for a link
(09:19:15 PM) inode0: http://rose.public.iastate.edu/tattoos.jpg
(09:19:48 PM) inode0: I will be shipping these off to regional
ambassadors next week
(09:19:50 PM) DemonJester: oooohh..
(09:20:19 PM) inode0: dthomasdigital tells me the case badges are now
in his possession so those should go out next week as well
(09:20:39 PM) inode0: there will be a rush order to get everything to
ke4qqq before SELF
(09:20:51 PM) VileGent: whoohoo
(09:20:52 PM) inode0: dthomasdigital: want to tell us anything about the badges?
(09:20:55 PM) ***DemonJester does happy dance but not as good a herlo's moonwalk
(09:21:00 PM) inode0: or show us pictures? :)
(09:21:12 PM) ke4qqq: inode0: is he going to ship direct to me
(09:21:16 PM) dthomasdigital: They look great and are on there way to inode0
(09:21:29 PM) ke4qqq: or shipping to you to ship to me
(09:21:42 PM) inode0: ke4qqq: I should get them Thu, will ship those
with tattoos to you on Fri.
(09:21:46 PM) dthomasdigital: I'll have pictures up on my wiki tonight
or in the morning
(09:21:49 PM) herlo: DemonJester: hehe, tx
(09:21:57 PM) ke4qqq: inode0: sounds good
(09:22:03 PM) DemonJester: herlo: np ;-)
(09:22:19 PM) inode0: for others I'll probably not get to it until the weekend
(09:22:59 PM) inode0: that is all I have ...
(09:23:14 PM) inode0: open floor?
(09:23:37 PM) inode0: or adjourn?
(09:23:44 PM) dthomasdigital: Just like to thank all those that helped
make the case badges happen
(09:23:49 PM) lcameron: !
(09:23:52 PM) lcameron: real quick
(09:23:59 PM) lcameron: Are the polo shirts still available?
(09:24:23 PM) ke4qqq: lcameron: we place orders a few times a year talk to:
(09:24:29 PM) ke4qqq: .fas pcalarco
(09:24:30 PM) zodbot: ke4qqq: pcalarco 'Pascal Vincent Calarco'
<pcalarco(a)nd.edu>
(09:24:33 PM) inode0: pascal orders them when there are enough people
in the queue
(09:24:33 PM) StabbyMc: lcameron: they haven't placed an order yet.
(09:24:58 PM) lcameron: perfect, I'll get in touch with him
(09:25:06 PM) inode0: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/NA
(09:25:11 PM) VileGent: i think there is a page on the wikii
(09:25:13 PM) inode0: get on the list at the bottom
(09:25:17 PM) StabbyMc: lcameron: there's a list on the wiki of people
who want them.
(09:25:27 PM) ***inode0 just posted the link to it
(09:26:29 PM) inode0: that must be getting close to order time
(09:27:08 PM) ***inode0 notes less than 5 minutes left in the hockey game
(09:27:21 PM) inode0: not to pressure anyone or anything
(09:27:25 PM) DemonJester: who's winning (need I ask)
(09:27:31 PM) inode0: penguins 3-2
(09:27:42 PM) DemonJester: wow.
(09:27:48 PM) VileGent: dthomasdigital, link to the pics of the
tattos on the model
(09:28:20 PM) inode0: are we done?
(09:28:30 PM) DemonJester: +1
(09:28:31 PM) ***lcafiero is going to lobby for a change of attire,
like denim shirts or something else rather than polos
(09:28:35 PM) lcafiero: I'm done.
(09:28:49 PM) lcafiero: Go penguins
(09:28:54 PM) ***inode0 agrees with lcafiero - denim shirts would be good
(09:28:54 PM) VileGent: move to close
(09:29:05 PM) inode0: any shirts with buttons would be good :)
(09:29:08 PM) StabbyMc: No denim shirts!
(09:29:11 PM) lcafiero: +1 to vilegent
(09:29:24 PM) inode0: see you all back in our home channel
(09:29:30 PM) inode0: thank you all for coming tonight
(09:29:31 PM) dthomasdigital: bye all
(09:29:32 PM) inode0: 5
(09:29:34 PM) inode0: 4
(09:29:35 PM) inode0: 3
(09:29:36 PM) inode0: 2
(09:29:37 PM) lcafiero: wait.
(09:29:40 PM) lcafiero: never mind.
(09:29:41 PM) inode0: 1
(09:29:41 PM) lcafiero: :-)
