FrOSCon Infomail #1 for Exhibitors (in German)
by Sandro "red" Mathys
FYI.
-------- Original Message --------
Subject: [FrOSCon-Exhibitors] Infomail 1 für Aussteller auf der FrOSCon 2008
Date: Sun, 06 Jul 2008 14:41:27 +0200
From: exhibitors(a)lists.froscon.de
Reply-To: Aussteller(a)froscon.de
To: exhibitors(a)lists.froscon.de
Liebe Aussteller,
http://debianforum.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=100593
Verpflegung an.
werdet bzw. spezielles zeigt.
6. Social-Event
Keynote Speaker bekannt gegeben.
Grüße Volker und der Rest vom Orga-Team

FAD EMEA 2008
by Max Spevack
Sandro and I have begun talking about the next FAD in Europe, in which
we hope to put together our plans for Red Hat's next budget year (March
2009 - February 2010).
We are beginning to collect ideas, and volunteers, here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FAD/FADEMEA2008
The folks who come to FAD are considered the "core leadership team" for
Fedora in Europe for the coming year. Anyone is welcome to attend. In
theory, we would like a representation from various countries, with
about 10 attendees total (though there is no limit).
FAMSCo members from Europe are encouraged to attend. The Fedora Project
will help to provide budget for the event, which can include subsidies
for travel and lodging as necessary.
I really appreciate the work that everyone in our EMEA Fedora community
does to help keep us organized, and even though we still have half of
this year left, I want to make sure that we're thinking about what is
important to us next year.

Fedora-Venezuela website
by María Leandro

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday, Fedora-Venezuela was victim of the worst attack I had been
witnesses, some persons were given to the task of knock down and post some
issues beyond our community interest.
In that moment, I (and any problem with the decision taken by me is
completely open to discussion) decided to take down the small part that
remain of our Joomla system, and ask to Guillermo Gomez (gomix) to change
the website redirection to what we were using as a blog team. (typo)
http://www.fedora-ve.org/
I Change certain peculiarities in the design, to have an image a little more
adapted for the team-venezuela fedora and add a post to keeping our
readership alert of what happened this morning.
We still don't know if we will continue using this system for
Fedora-Venezuela website, but we are sure of something, we will keep
maintaining the community informed and will keep making tutorials and stuff
like that.
For the moment, if someone want to assist us, by providing ideas; wil be
grateful to continue this thread.
What happened is a lesson for many of us (including myself and possibly
first one) to take into consideration that there are projects that we have
left abandoned by more biggers roads, we must never leave something behind
if we don't have someone to support it, and that's what happened with the
Fedora Venezuela website.
Over what should be done with the site Fedora-Venezuela from here, will be
open to debate, but I'll keep abreast of everything since I took the
responsibility to maintain the new system of the Fedora project of Venezuela
on my hands ... (I'm saying this because I am not going to take X systems or
that, If I'm not able to maintain it... until someone else comes and takes
over the same.)
This should be a warning, but also a step in overcoming well.
Greetings, and I'll continue as always in touch.
