Sitting with Ubuntu for a Workshop
by Danishka Navin
Hi Guys,
Sri Lanka Linux community will be orgnizing workshop for Maldivian students
association as per their request.
I'm planning to show up the Fedora 9 New features and l10n as well.
As most of our members prefer Ubuntu, I don't want to criticizes other
bistros, but want to show the true advantages over F9.
Date is yet to be fixd, so planning to introduce Fedora Live USB Self
Service PC. ;-)
Appreciate your points, suggestions and previous experience.

Release Party Budget
by Jeffrey Tadlock
In today's FAmSCo meeting we discussed the budget needs for the Fedora
9 Release Parties. It is my pleasure to announce on behalf of FAmSCo
that we can help sponsor ten release parties worldwide! We have set
aside $100 USD for each of those ten release parties to help with
reimbursing the organizing ambassador for costs associated with the
party. We currently have three release parties listed on the Fedora
Events page [1], we would like to help sponsor seven more.
In order for a party to be sponsored it needs to be listed on the
Fedora Events page. So, check out the Release Party Planning page
[2], choose a date and time for your release party and add it to the
Fedora Events page. Remember that events, including release parties,
that receive funds from Fedora Project need to follow our reporting
guidelines [3] as well.
If you have questions, feel free to post them to the Ambassadors list
or contact a FAmSCo member [4].

Release Parties and F9 Release Date Slip
by Jeffrey Tadlock
If you don't track the fedora-devel-announce list or the
fedora-announce list, Fedora 9's release date has been delayed by two
weeks. The new target release date is May 13th. Looking at the
Fedora Events page [1] it does appear this slip will affect a few
release parties that were already scheduled.
We now have an extra two weeks to get some more release parties
organized! So start your planning and add your event to the Fedora
Events page [1].

by Grady Laksmono
That would be great Samuele,
I've got the fliers and USB design from the other topic in the mailing
list. I guess starting out with posters would be great.
