Reduction of activity in FP until May
by Pawel Sadowski
Hi,
I'm writing this mail as I want to let you know I'm reducing my activity
in Fedora Project until May. This is because of very important exams I
have on May. I won't be reading my mails, so I will be almost
unreachable. I'm really sad because of this, but I have to do it. I
haven't even checked the things about FOSDEM which took a place during
the past weekend. One thing I can say now is that it was a really great
pleasure to meet you there and I had a wonderful time with you. On May,
I will upload my photos I've taken there.
See you on May!

Fosdem2007

Here shortly my important goals from Fosdem, but first something personal to
MaxSpevack:
"Thank you, for coming and show such a great interest in the European matters.
I was fascinated how a good listener you are and i am glad and dignified that
we have a Leader who is really a part of the team."
and the team:
I will not ingratiate myself, but now since i know you, the most european
Ambassadors in Person, i think we are such a fine team and i am proud to be a
part of it. We are unique in a positve way (as example in solving conflicts).
I have learned that we all will/must/can grow in our work - three days
english - was horrible for me - but here is also improvement in sight ;-)
OK now some toughts:
Because Chitlesh's last moderation break up to early to work out our goals for
the future - we will work on this further. For me, one big goal is achieved -
we are now really a european team and no longer only Ambassadors for a single
Country, we will join our power and can help countrys with less ressources -
i will.
Also we worked out that is necessary to lead new Ambassadors and give them a
partner who can help him to find his way in the project - and there will be a
way to do this - in the french team this is naturaly grown in the past and we
will learn this as a example.
With a good Leadership it will be possible to act more independent in europe -
Max commited to give us then a Budget.
There are many more "Soft" Goals that we now have to define, we should
organize a FAD very soon to figure out how we could do it right - here one
big thank you to GeroldKassube for invent FAD and persuade me in the
Ambassador Project.
Cheers Joerg

re: [Ambassadors] Annual tech meet- Daskhh 2007.. India
by susmit shannigrahi
Dear Sankarshan,
> Is this a separate day ?
Unfortunately, I could not arrange for a whole day because we had to
arrange things in a very short notice and all the six depertments are
involved in this.
> Or a parallel track ?
No, this is not at all on parallel track. I have arranged a 3.5- 4
hours slot.From 9am to 1 pm.
And I am organising it on condition that this will be unparalleled.
>What do you expect the
> audience type mix to be ?
As we are inviting all the tech institutes of in and around
kolkata..say around 30 colleges.
So we expect all the tech people here and in a good number.
And as far my observation goes, most of the students are afraid of
Linux here..A lot of misconceptions and lack of information about
Linux/FLOSS.
I am trying to get invite whomever I can contact, like Rahul and
Sayamindu. It would be splendid if you can come..
Thanks and Regards

Annual tech meet- Daskhh 2007.. India
by susmit shannigrahi
Hi *,
Dakshh is the annual technological event of Heritage Institute
Technology, Kolkata,India.
This year it will be on the 22nd and 23 rd March, 2007. Me and my
friends are working to ake it a success.
We are arranging a fedora event to induct people into GNU/Linux
community, along with several other events. Our main focus is how and
why people should get into Linux community
what are the scopes of work here and how *they* may be benefited from
this community.
We hope that this event will be able to create some Linux awareness,
which is surprisingly low here.
Now, as a organiser of it, 'am cordially inviting you here.
Would anybody be in Kolkata at that time?

by Chitlesh GOORAH
Hello there,
I have already proposed this schedule (for friday) on the ML and
during the meeting. No one contested it.
So here you go:

I've added some pictures to make it easy for anyone to find the meeting places.
The germans and I will try to make our best to be there on time, but
it all depends on the traffic. I think you can manage to find us a
nice place meanwhile. (it's the item2 15h00 - 17h30 -Look for a nice
place to chat (alias FAD )- still looking for one)
Max and others have my phone number and contact me if ever you guys
have figured out a nice place. :)
Cheers, looking forward to see you tomorrow,

FODEM Issue
by Frederic Hornain
Dear *,
To summarize :
- The Fosdem Pre-event start this Friday at 17:30 at "Le roy
d'Espagne" - http://www.roydespagne.be/en/en_history.html -.
- We should have a Fedora pre-event - ? -
- We should have a Centos pre-event - This Friday 14:00 to 20:00 -
- We should have a Fedora pre-event - ? -
First of all, if I was you I will not to be worried after the bar
location. A lot of bar exists in Brussels.
Why do we not meet each other at the roy d'Espagne FIRST from 17:00 to
21:00?
Like this we have got a central starting meeting point and no one can make
mistake to the place where he have to go to begin our events.
I think it a good place to start, do I ?
Then, we can have a meeting with CENTOS people and Suse people in another
place later in the night and somewhere else.
Anyway, they will be there as well.
After that, we could decide to another meeting for Saturday.
Tell me what you think about that and if it is ok.
We will have to publish it on the mailing list as well as the wiki Fosdem
Fedora web page.
PS: You know it is the first time that a lot Fedora people come to Fosdem so
everything can not be perfect.
I am pretty sure that we will do better organization next year.
In addition, I suggest to communicate via mailing list and not directly.
Like this we do not forget someone.
BR
Fred
