We'd also need some way of telling Image Warehouse how to get images into
it, wouldn't we? ie δcloud for the command and control, but iwhd to get
new images there
That's all handled after providers are added. What is proposed here is
just a different way of referencing providers (which I responded to in
my earlier reply). Once we have a provider added to the conductor db,
all of our existing code around image upload, etc. will work as it does
now, although this change -- where we use the X-deltacloud-provider
header to identify which provider the driver points to -- will make the
Image Factory/Warehouse work easier, since we can use this same
information to tell Image Warehouse where to upload images. At present,
we have no way of telling Image Warehouse where to upload other than
hard-coding config files.
Btw - Is that functionality δcloud is thinking of incorporating at
some point
in the future? Seems like the kind of thing that would benefit from having
"a standard".
This functionality is already present in Deltacloud 0.3.0 -- we're just
playing catch-up on the Aeolus/Conductor side.
