True, but it seems to me that this is a step backwards. That is, during times
when no activity is happening, we are going to be waking up for no reason at
all.
I'm not totally against this; polling is certainly one way to accomplish what
dbomatic needs to do. But I think it would be better to investigate why we
are getting so many inotify events, and possibly only monitor the condor event
log.
Agreed, though its tricky since condor rotates the eventlog out
periodically and we can't access the logs and/or the log directory
atomically.
Since dbomatic itself is a temporary solution, until we are able to
incorporate a qmf interface to condor, I figure getting it working again
quickly would be the priority, now we can explore getting it working w/
inotify again if we want.
