That patches are not incorporated into DC master.
Also you have to:
1) install openstack gem
This gem is also packaged for the Fedora (17,18): yum install rubygem-openstack
2) enable auto assigning of floating ips on openstack provider
I think you need to to more, like allow 22 port in the 'default' security group.
Note that there is a bug reported on OpenStack that cause instance state not
updating correctly after operation[1].
