[PATCH aeolus-configure] BZ#806001 - Remove admin profile
by steve linabery
The default admin user will be created as part of the conductor
manifest, and this will be indicated by creation of a file in
/var/lib/aeolus-configure. This will ensure the admin user does not
get created by configure after multiple configure invocations. The
expectation is for administrative users to be managed via the web UI
(or API), not via configure.

[PATCH conductor] Fix deployable uploading in Ruby 1.9
by Imre Farkas
From: Imre Farkas <ifarkas(a)redhat.com>
The Object#instance_variables method in Ruby 1.9 is returning an array of symbols instead of and array of strings as in Ruby 1.8

Deprecation warning about type attribute?
by Justin Clift
Hi Dan,
Trying out the wordpress.xml file from your fedorapeople.org stuff,
with Aeolus 0.10.2 on F16.
http://radez.fedorapeople.org/wordpress.xml
When creating or editing the Deployable, this flash message shows up:
• Deprecation Warning: Parameter 'wp_name' in service 'http' has a type attribute. Remove the type attribute or move it to a child value tag.
• Deprecation Warning: Parameter 'wp_user' in service 'http' has a type attribute. Remove the type attribute or move it to a child value tag.
• Deprecation Warning: Parameter 'wp_pw' in service 'http' has a type attribute. Remove the type attribute or move it to a child value tag.
• Deprecation Warning: Parameter 'mysql_ip' in service 'http' has a type attribute. Remove the type attribute or move it to a child value tag.
• Deprecation Warning: Parameter 'mysql_hostname' in service 'http' has a type attribute. Remove the type attribute or move it to a child value tag.
• Deprecation Warning: Parameter 'mysql_dbup' in service 'http' has a type attribute. Remove the type attribute or move it to a child value tag.
• Deprecation Warning: Parameter 'wp_name' in service 'mysql' has a type attribute. Remove the type attribute or move it to a child value tag.
• Deprecation Warning: Parameter 'wp_user' in service 'mysql' has a type attribute. Remove the type attribute or move it to a child value tag.
• Deprecation Warning: Parameter 'wp_pw' in service 'mysql' has a type attribute. Remove the type attribute or move it to a child value tag.
• Deprecation Warning: Parameter 'apache_ip' in service 'mysql' has a type attribute. Remove the type attribute or move it to a child value tag.
• Deprecation Warning: Parameter 'apache_hostname' in service 'mysql' has a type attribute. Remove the type attribute or move it to a child value tag.
Removing the type=scalar bit for all of the parameters seems to do
the trick, with no warnings showing up. i.e.:
<parameter name="wp_name">
<value>wordpress</value>
</parameter>
Correct approach? No hidden gotcha's from doing that?

What I see from the rhevm-upgrade script is that it stops the JBoss service before the DB update, and then starts it at the end of the process.

End of Sprint code check-in deadline approaches
by steve linabery
Hello aeolus community developers,
I would like to allow an additional day at the end of each sprint for packaging work.
I propose setting our deadline for pushing commits to 'master' to close-of-business, Monday, 25 Jun 2012.
We had a number of issues surface at the end of the last sprint related to packaging and rpm-based installations. I would like to budget some additional time pre-demo to catch and address any such issues.
Please speak up now if that deadline seems unreasonable or unworkable.
Thanks in advance,

running conductor tests upstream
by Richard Su
I have been working on getting automated testing going for upstream.
Mike asked me to share some of the results primarily to highlight the
tests that are broken.
The tests were executed in a cloudbees hosted build environment (final
environment is yet to be determined, we're considering other options
that may be less costly). For upstream, Bundler was turned on and rpms
were not used. aeolus-configure was also not executed, so services like
deltacloud-core were off. sqlite was used in place of postgres.
In this environment, the cucumber tests finished with 17 failures. On my
laptop I created a similar environment and got the same 17 failures.
Failing Scenarios:
cucumber features/deployables.feature:43 # Scenario: Launch a deployment
cucumber features/deployment.feature:77 # Scenario: Stop deployments
cucumber features/deployment.feature:97 # Scenario: Stop a deployment
over XHR
cucumber features/deployment.feature:139 # Scenario: Stop a deployment
cucumber features/deployment.feature:169 # Scenario: Delete a deployment
cucumber features/deployment.feature:176 # Scenario: Delete multiple
deployments
cucumber features/deployment.feature:189 # Scenario: Delete a deployment
with running instances
cucumber features/instance.feature:66 # Scenario: Stop instance
cucumber features/instance.feature:85 # Scenario: Stop multiple instances
cucumber features/instance.feature:202 # Scenario: Stop an instance
cucumber features/permission.feature:59 # Scenario: View inherited
permissions
cucumber features/pool.feature:183 # Scenario: Select Catalog Images on
pool detail page
cucumber features/pool_family.feature:44 # Scenario: Delete a pool family
cucumber features/pool_family.feature:53 # Scenario: Disallow deletion
of default pool family
cucumber features/pool_family.feature:61 # Scenario: Add provider
account to pool family
cucumber features/pool_family.feature:73 # Scenario: Remove provider
account from pool family
cucumber features/provider.feature:74 # Scenario: Disable a provider
I did a little bit a digging locally and 7 of these failures can be
attributed to turning Bundler on.
Failing Scenarios:
cucumber features/deployables.feature:43 # Scenario: Launch a deployment
cucumber features/deployment.feature:169 # Scenario: Delete a deployment
cucumber features/deployment.feature:176 # Scenario: Delete multiple
deployments
cucumber features/deployment.feature:189 # Scenario: Delete a deployment
with running instances
cucumber features/instance.feature:66 # Scenario: Stop instance
cucumber features/instance.feature:85 # Scenario: Stop multiple instances
cucumber features/provider.feature:74 # Scenario: Disable a provider
10 of these can be attributed to having deltacloud-core off, with all
other services running and bundler off.
Failing Scenarios:
cucumber features/deployment.feature:77 # Scenario: Stop deployments
cucumber features/deployment.feature:97 # Scenario: Stop a deployment
over XHR
cucumber features/deployment.feature:139 # Scenario: Stop a deployment
cucumber features/deployment.feature:169 # Scenario: Delete a deployment
cucumber features/deployment.feature:176 # Scenario: Delete multiple
deployments
cucumber features/deployment.feature:189 # Scenario: Delete a deployment
with running instances
cucumber features/instance.feature:66 # Scenario: Stop instance
cucumber features/instance.feature:85 # Scenario: Stop multiple instances
cucumber features/instance.feature:202 # Scenario: Stop an instance
cucumber features/provider.feature:74 # Scenario: Disable a provider
11 of these were from both turning Bundler on and deltacloud-core off,
with all other aeolus services on. So there are some overlap.
The remaining 6 failures are the result of other services being off or
not executing aeolus-configure.

For rspec, I got 187 failures. Most them are of this nature:

[PATCH 0/3 conductor] RM3393 - Add graphs to the audit history page
by Tzu-Mainn Chen
This page links to the flot library from the converge-ui, and uses it to generate graphs based on the audit history (which is now linked from the main Monitor page). Graphs can be adjusted for date range, and also "group by" options (group by pool, provider, user, etc).
