I would like to upgrade our LDAP to the last stable versión in CentOS

support of 1.3.x on el6. I undestand this is because the package
389-ds-base is now part of RHEL6 but, why provide the 184.108.40.206
version in the epel-389 when the last version in the el6 repo is
220.127.116.11 and don't provide 1.3.x? I know I can get the srpm and
rebuild the package but people who decides what to install here want a
stable version in a estable rpm, tested and aproved.
Do we have any chance to obtain a rpm tested in rhel/centOS for 1.3.x
or the only option is to use the last version in epel-389 repo?
We are trying to keep the version of 389 in EL6 relatively stable. 1.3.1
is not "stable" enough that we feel comfortable just pushing it out as
the supported version of 389 on EL6.
The epel-389-testing repo has 1.2.11, which is considered the current
stable version. Please give that a try. If enough epel-389 EL6 users
try it and find that it is working, I will move it from testing to stable.
If you feel you really must use 1.3.1 with EL6, perhaps we can work
something out, but as 389-ds-base isn't really in epel, it's just a
private build that I do, I don't want to be in the position of having to
support 3 different branches in EL6. The best option would be for you
to build it yourself if you really must run 1.3.1 on EL6.
