Admin dashboards are a huge attack surface, while they have their
uses they aren’t universally a good idea in many cases. A simple rest
API would be far better.
Having a REST api is still something we want, but today we just don't
have the time to commit to it. We really want to do this in the future
though :)
Alternately, freeipa offer a rest-api, but it's not "officially"
supported for use, but that has never really stopped anyone has it? :)
