Hi Xinhuan,
when you create a new root suffix, consoles creates two entries.
The "suffix" or mapping tree and then the associated db.
It seems in your case the db was created but not the mapping tree. Console is only showing
the suffix if the mapping tree is created.
You can fix your config by deleting the associated db.
ldapsearch -D "cn=directory manager" -W -b "cn=ldbm
database,cn=plugins,cn=config" -s one dn
will show very likely the dn of the db that you need to delete. Then, you can proceed to
re-create the suffix from console.
