This is exact steps fro Centos 6.3 with SSSD client authentication. It
should work as it is. If you face issues then let me know.
He already tried your very first step and failed. Can you actually
confirm that
yum install 389-ds -y
works on CentOS 6? Without having to set up EPEL6?
