Hi,

Any idea when the cockpit plugin for 389DS will be available on CentOS8?
Unfortunately, it's a bit complicated right now. There is no timeline yet, but we're working on it.
Some of the blockers:
1.  argparse-manpage is missing in EPEL8:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1763246
It's a build-only dependency. It's present in RHEL8 build root, but not in CentOS8/EPEL8.
2. We have 389-ds module (without cockpit plugin) in RHEL8/CentOS8, which is part of idm module, and a standalone redhat-ds module (with cockpit plugin) as part of RHDS layered product. We'd like to use 389-ds name for the upstream module too, but It's not clear yet how upstream versions of modular layered products should be shipped in CentOS8/EPEL8 (as a different stream? or a different module name? or something completely different?)
3. Latest 389-ds in Fedora uses PatternFly 4, but RHEL8/CentOS8 uses PatternFly 3. PF4 also requires cockpit >=198, which is not available yet in RHEL8/CentOS8.

Anyway, I'll try this week to prepare a build in my copr for EL8. Would you be willing to test it?
Thanks!

Regards.

So, what is currently available (tested with `docker run -ti centos:8`):
1. Enable the stream: dnf module enable 389-ds
2. Install the actual package: dnf install 389-ds-base

Anyway, this does not contain the Cockpit plugin, yet. Will need to
figure that out...
