Hi,

the configuration directory server is the server maintaining o=netscaperoot, it is used by the admin server. Maybe this helps: http://directory.fedoraproject.org/wiki/Howto:AdminServerLDAPMgmt

We have 389-ds set up and working.  We are putting 2 new servers in place shortly, and were following the instructions found here: http://www.howtolinux247.info/2013/06/how-to-install-and-configure-389-ldap.html.

In there, there's a mention of a configuration directory server.  I don't recall having to set that up on the existing servers, so I just wanted some clarification as to what that was and what it did.  Also, was it necessary.

Thanks for any help!
