Hello.
Currently, I package 1.4.1 branch as the former-stable for ALTLinux. But it is not updated since July, too stable?
1.4.x branches in upstream:
upstream/389-ds-base-1.4.1 upstream/389-ds-base-1.4.2 upstream/389-ds-base-1.4.3 upstream/389-ds-base-1.4.4 upstream/master
Any plans on supporting these? Which one is stable now?
Thanks.

This is no longer being maintained
upstream/389-ds-base-1.4.2
This branch is about to stop being maintained
upstream/389-ds-base-1.4.3
This would be the "most" stable branch at this time.
upstream/389-ds-base-1.4.4 upstream/master
1.4.4 and master (2.0.0) are not "stable" and include more cutting edge changes and features.

It would be much appreciated such future changes will be announced at time. I think the other distro-packagers need this information too.
Thank you very much!

It's a good point Mark, maybe we need to be able to tag dev streams from release streams as 2.0.0 is a "future release" branch at this point.
It could also help to have a list of "supported streams" on the front page of the wiki too ...

We follow the Fedora release schedule:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases?rd=Releases/
So...
F34(rawhide) --> 389-ds-base-2.0.0
F33 --> 389-ds-base-1.4.4
F32 --> 389-ds-base-1.4.3
F31 --> 389-ds-base-1.4.2
Now F31 is probably going to be EOLed sooner than later, so we will stop maintaining 1.4.2 at that time.
I will add something to the landing page of our wiki about this topic.
Regards, Mark
Thank you very much!

Hi! Any news on this? Could you please point me to which branch is current stable or LTS?
Thanks.

389-ds-base-1.4.3 and 1.4.4 are the most stable, 389-ds-base-2.0 and master branch are still under heavy development.

Mark
