But that seems like pointless busywork and churn. Sure, when python3
is ubiquitous, those checks can be dropped or reversed... But right
now it would be better to focus on actual python3 versions of all
packages — we're not there yet.
Yes, current efforts should be directed to porting for Python 3, the packaging points I
mentioned will really be the very last step.
